There’s a two-fold answer to this:
Frances Nolan is the heroine of one of my favorite books of all time, A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. It’s a really sweet novel, set in early 1900s Brooklyn. It features an Irish immigrant family, their love for one another, and their struggle to thrive in their new life. If you like books that make you cry, you’ll love this one!
Francis is my dad’s middle name. So OBVIOUSLY I used Michael Francis’ spelling. …I probably should have put him first in this list! Love you Dad! :)
